I HAVE A CAR AND COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE POLICY. IS THIS ENOUGH?

Not quite, but you're almost there. You also need to have Passenger Liability insurance, which can be purchased via your insurance company. You also need to attend the Dart driver training - get in touch for more info.

WHAT WILL MY WORKING HOURS BE LIKE?

You are your own Boss! You can work whenever you want, for as long as you want. Although for occupational health & safety we recommend you do not exceed 10 hours daily.

I WANT TO BE A DART DRIVER BUT I DON'T OWN A CAR. CAN I STILL QUALIFY?

Of course! But you need a letter of consent from the vehicle's owner before you can use it with Dart.

HOW MUCH DO DART DRIVERS EARN PER RIDE?

Dart Drivers earn 70% of the total amount for every ride they make and Dart takes 30%. For example, a ride costs $10.00, Driver earns $7.00 and Dart takes $3.00. Deductions are made AUTOMATICALLY in the App.n top of that, there is a monthly incentive plan Drivers can look forward to (T&C apply).

WHAT ARE MY PROJECTED EARNINGS?

You could be earning $500+ a month by doing just five rides a day. The more you work the more you earn. On top of that, Dart offers incentives and bonuses, which means you could earn even more!

IF MY CAR IS ABOVE 10 YEARS OLD, CAN I STILL APPLY?

Dart will inspect your vehicle. If we feel that it is up to standards/servicable, then you're good to go! Reminder: If you plan to change your vehicle in the near future, best to wait for the new car to be ready

I AM CURRENTLY WORKING, F I CAN'T PROVIDE THE COMPANY HR LETTER IMMEDIATELY,SHOULD I STILL APPLY?

As long as your company supervisor is notified and he/she gives consent, and there is no conflict of interests, you MAY still apply and the letter may be submitted at a later date.

I WANT TO DO PART-TIME/FULL-TIME DART ONLY, IS THAT OKAY?

Yes, all Dart Drivers are free to choose their preference and there's no set hours as it's a flexible Job. You do You!

IF I FAIL THE CLASS 12 EXAM?

Yes, you may. There will be a $10.00 Exam fee payable to JPD Sungai Akar. The Exam is only held every Tuesdays 9AM, at JPD Sg Akar.

IS THE INTERVIEW WITH THE JPD OFFICER MANDATORY?

The JPD Officer will need to see if you are both physically and mentally fit to become a Driver.

IS THERE A SEPARATE APP FOR DART DRIVERS?

Yes, there are two separate Apps, Dart Rider & Dart Driver. The latter being only Android exclusive. For iOS users interested in becoming a Dart Driver, you are required to invest in an Android Phone.

WHERE/WHEN DO I BUY THE HIRE & REWARD INSURANCE?

The best time to buy the Insurance is right before or after your official contract signing with Dart. Also once you've obtained all mandatory items (Fire extinguisher + Dart Assets etc).As to where, Tokio Marine is your best bet. TBA, TAIB sells it too.

WHEN DO I RENEW MY VEHICLE & LICENSE PERMIT?

Your Class 3 License will automatically be reset upon endorsing your Class 12. Hence renewal is ANNUAL. For Vehicle Permit, it is to be renewed every TWO YEARS (This is handled by Dart).

IF I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH CHANGE, DO I ACCEPT CARD PAYMENTS?

No. Payment Methods are only via CASH and DART WALLET. You are to ensure to prepare sufficient change before Darting ($50.00 recommended).

WHAT TYPE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER SHOULD I BUY?

1 KG ABC Powder-type. Available at GoodHome & GoldMyne.

WWHERE DO I OBTAIN THE WINDOW BREAKER AND FIRST-AID KIT?

Window Breakers can be found at GoodHome, GoldMyne or any Home Appliances Store. First Aid Kit is available at similar places, but also available at Guardian, GL Extra, Healthy Beauty 365.

ROUGHLY HOW LONG WILL THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?

1 Month Approxmiately. Depends on a lot of factors such as Class 12 Exam, Background Checks etc, Permit Release.
